Self-hosted is free. Hosted Cloud is metered by uptime and model credit. Enterprise runs on your compute and your agents — we are the client and the usage view.

Cloud is open. Usage is metered on Account. We are not charging yet — sign-in, wake, and send work without a card.

How Cloud billing works

What we meter

Sandbox uptime (hours the machine is awake) and model credit in US dollars. Allotments reset each UTC month. Account shows what is left.

Pay-as-you-go

After included hours and credit, usage draws from a spend limit you set. Business defaults to $200. A card is for when we start charging — not required today. Enterprise is not on this meter.

Idle stop

No live client for five minutes and the sandbox stops. Files on /workspace stay. The next send or Reconnect starts it again. Sign-in does not wake it.

Hosted Cloud (Personal and Business) is our sandbox. Enterprise is the other way: your machines, your models, your agents — Spellbook is the client and a usage view. The Spellbook Cloud GitHub App can be installed on a GitHub account; cloning a repo into the sandbox is not on yet.
